I am currently creating a poker related website which should be comming out soon (I’ll make another post when its ready.) It should have a lot of great information about online poker including: reviews, strategy articles, and special promotions I personally will be offering. It should be helpful to all poker players from beginners to pro’s. Definatly check it out once I have it up.
I played one of these tournaments last night (they run every hour). There were around 430 entries and the top 40 positions were paid. In large tournaments my game plan is very tight, wait for a hand and try to double up. This works well for getting in position to place in the money.
However, my Big Slick ran into Pocket Rockets and I was left with 150 chips and big blind was 50. Big blind game around to me and I picked up 27 “The Hammer” with a raise in first position I was forced to fold and hang around. Small blind came and another terrible hand so I decided I wil wait for a better hand no matter how few chips I was left with.
I started my comeback with 75 chips and j8 of hearts. I tripled up plus blinds and was at 300. After a nice run of cards I managed to get to 1050 chips. From there I was able to play my normal tournament style before my Ace 8 of hearts in big blind flopped the flush draw I was forced to chase with my chipstack. It didnt hit and I was out in 98th.
Never despair after a bad beat stay smart and you always have a chance to win.
I played in the Freeroll hosted at ParadisePoker.com which is where I recomend all private freerolls to he held. They have great affiliate managers that are very helpful. 63 people signed up for the prize pool of $100 and a $50 bounty on cheaterace . I did not get many cards and finally I pushed with ducks (pocket 22’s) short stacked and called out by snowmen (pocket 88’s). He hit his set and I was out but I still had a lot of fun.
I was linked to a interesting website by a friend of mine, www.savemyfinger.com. Aparently someone bet his finger that he could get one million hits to his site in a short time frame. If he gets the one million views then he plays against a friend in heads up poker at PokerRoom.com to try and win the million dollars. Check it out and help him get his views. I am not sure if it is some sort of scam or not but its a good idea and I wish him luck either way.
